Our Company:
INSPECT, INC. was formed in July 1983 to provide on-site inspections of homes for both home buyers and sellers in the Chicago area. Over the past 41 years, our team of professional home inspectors has performed over 25,000 home inspections throughout the city and suburbs.
As a family owned and operated company we have the freedom to go above and beyond the basic standards set by the state of Illinois. We require that our inspectors be full-time, professionally trained, state-licensed, and members of The American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), and ASHI – Great Lakes Chapter. ASHI is recognized as the leading national authority in the home inspection field and has established a set of strict standards guiding home inspections.
Michael Doetsch, owner of INSPECT, INC. is one of the most experienced home inspectors in Illinois, having personally performed more than 11,000 home inspections throughout Chicago and the suburbs over the past 25 years. Additionally, he is a member of the American Society of Home Inspectors, and has achieved their highest standing, that of Certified Inspector.

If problem areas are found in a home, we explain in a calm fashion why those problems exist and what can be done to address them. We don’t see the need to raise alarm or scare our buyers away from a home they may love. We simply point out what the issue is and what can be done to help resolve it. We can gauge your client’s sensitivity and discuss safety and habitability issues with them accordingly. We help clients understand that construction is not a perfect science and that it is common for all homes to have some issues.
